Thank you to all those helping to get through the Covid19 Pandemic
Thank you to all those out there taking this pandemic seriously and doing their part to help out. The other day I saw an elderly woman collapse in a grocery store parking lot. I was shocked to see how many people roll past her with their shopping carts. I'm ashamed to admit, that I myself hesitated to get out my car. But I did and went to her. I asked her if she was Ok. She was clearly disoriented and confused. She said that she had come from GA, She was having a bad week. She didn't know where anything was or where to go. Then she said she had to go. I told her I didn't think she was in any condition to drive. That's when I heard a voice over my shoulder saying " That's OK she's my sister and I'm driving" I thought to myself "REALLY?" Her own sister didn't even try to help her up and acted as if she didn't even know her. I checked to make sure this poor lady wasn't bleeding and carefully helped her up. I walked her to her car and put the groceries in the back seat. Then wished them well. I realize I might have put myself at risk to help a complete stranger. But I know I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I wouldn't have helped.
